- General
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all services provided by JJ Groundwork & Landscapes (“we,” “our,” “us”) to the customer (“you,” “your”). By booking our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
- Quotations and Pricing
2.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
2.2 Prices are subject to change if the scope of work is altered or additional services are requested.
2.3 Any unforeseen issues that arise during the project requiring additional work or materials will be discussed and agreed upon before proceeding.
- Bookings and Deposits
3.1 To secure a booking, a deposit of [Insert Percentage]% of the total project cost is required.
3.2 The deposit must be paid within 7 days of accepting the quotation.
3.3 Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
- Cancellation Policy
4.1 If you decide to cancel a job after paying the deposit, please be aware that the deposit is non-refundable. This is because the booking reserves time allocated exclusively for your project, and other opportunities may have been declined as a result.
4.2 Cancellations must be made in writing (via email or letter).
4.3 In exceptional circumstances, at our discretion, alternative arrangements may be discussed, but we are under no obligation to offer refunds or rescheduling.
- Project Commencement and Completion
5.1 Start dates are agreed upon at the time of booking. However, delays may occur due to weather conditions, supplier issues, or other unforeseen factors. We will communicate any changes promptly.
5.2 Completion times are estimated based on the project scope but are not guaranteed.
- Payment Terms
6.1 Final payment is due upon project completion unless otherwise agreed.
6.2 We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue payments at a rate of 5% per month.
- Liability
7.1 We shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our control.
7.2 While we take every precaution to prevent damage, we are not responsible for unforeseen damage to underground services unless you provide accurate location details prior to work commencement.
- Warranties and Guarantees
8.1 We offer a [Insert Duration, e.g., 12-month] workmanship guarantee from the completion date. This does not cover damage caused by misuse, extreme weather, or third-party interference.
- Customer Responsibilities
9.1 You must ensure clear access to the work site. Delays caused by obstructions or restricted access may incur additional charges.
9.2 Please remove or secure valuable items near the work area. We are not responsible for accidental damage to items not removed or protected.
- Health and Safety
10.1 We adhere to strict health and safety regulations. Customers should not enter the work area unless invited and accompanied by our team.
- Dispute Resolution
11.1 In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt resolution through informal discussions. If unsuccessful, disputes will be subject to UK law and jurisdiction.
- Amendments
12.1 We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be provided upon request or when new bookings are made.
